SRP COMMITTEE REPORT
Deb Hoadley, Chair
As always this time of year we are busy with taking and packing SRP materials and t-shirt/tote bags orders. The deadline for the t-shirt/tote bags is Friday, April 13 (information is on the CHILIS website). We would love volunteers to help us pack at the Hooksett Library on Friday, May 4 at 9:30am. The committee is already working on Summer 2008 and will be choosing an artist next month. If you want to know what’s going on and be a part of a great, fun committee we meet the first Friday of the month (except July or August) in Concord at the Local Government Center at 9:30am. Please contact Deb Hoadley if you are interested.
NEWSLETTER REPORT
Cathy Marciniak, Editor
Red Hot CHILIS News is the online newsletter of the Children's Librarians of New Hampshire. Contents include a calendar of events, information about the Summer Reading Program, executive board meeting dates and information, conference dates and details, book award news, "News You Can Use", and the latest on library happenings from around the state.
Your articles, images, suggestions, and comments are always welcome; please send them to me at fullerlibrary@mcttelecom.com and include "CHILIS news" in the subject line. The content of the newsletter is updated regularly, and this winter an "rss" feed link was added, which enables users of a news reader to be alerted to new additions as they are posted, without having to wade through the entire newsletter.
On a personal note, I live in Hillsboro and work as the children's librarian at Fuller Public Library in the historic governor's mansion. In the fall of 2007, I took over the reins from Nancy Lang, who had faithfully served as editor for many years. It has been a pleasure to meet and work with the members of the executive board; they are an enthusiastic and joyful group and I look forward to our monthly meetings in Concord. If you have ever considered serving, I strongly encourage you to do so- you will be warmly welcomed and many hands make light work!

GREAT STONE FACE COMMITTEE REPORT
Adele Boeske, Chair
The Great Stone Face Committee will be meeting on April 13th to choose next year’s list. The new list and the winner of this year’s voting will be announced at the GSF Tea at the New Hampshire Libraries Conference on May 17th. Bookmarks and posters will be on sale during the conference. If you are not going to the conference, you can send your order and check to me using the order form that is available at the Derry Public Library’s website. Don’t forget to remind your patrons in grades 4 to 6 to vote for their favorite GSF book. Voting results need to be sent to the GSF Chair by May 3rd. The voting results form is also on the Derry Public Library’s website. We are always looking for new members to read a lot of good books, so if you can attend the meetings on the 2nd Friday of each month from September to April (except December) at the Bedford Public Library, then please consider joining the GSF committee. The committee wants to thank all of you who participate in promoting and voting for the Great Stone Face Book Award.
