The Big Read Begins: To Kill a Mockingbird
Wednesday March 3, 2010
- Join us at the Kick-off event featuring music from the 1930s
- performed by Judy Fournier and Rick Busenbark.
- Refreshments will be served
You may pick up your copy of To Kill a Mockingbird- at the kick-off event or at the library beginning March 4th.
March 18th from 7-9
- Martha Carlson-Bradley, independent scholar from Hillsborough,
- will lead a discussion of the book
March 24th
- There will be a viewing of the movie, To Kill a Mockingbird,
- Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch.
All of the events are free and open to the public.
Books may be borrowed for the length of the program.
The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) which gives communities the opportunity to come together and read, discuss and celebrate one of thirty selections from U.S. and world literature.
